On this project, Alphateam was provided with a functional operation description that was then used to develop a PLC and SCADA system for commissioning. As an additional challenge, we were also required to stay within the boundaries of our client’s library of SCADA objects during design, limiting our scope and requiring careful and resourceful planning.
As part of our solution, we developed an Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC operating under a Citect 2018 SCADA system, providing detailed design specifications to our client. We also provided requested functionality for a Plant Full Auto Control Mode, featuring auto filter backwash with mode selection (Time/Flow) and Variable-Speed Drive (VSD) pressure control for potable water pumps. All developed software was rigorously tested with built-in simulation logic.
